Multi-color patterns reached a peak only a few years ago, though while once releasing in utmost saturation, the loud arrangements became increasingly scarce — especially throughout all of 2018. Despite maximalist ideals reaching mainstream sensibilities, Nike began to rarely touch its once prominent motif. Coming closer to the advent of 2019, the Beaverton brand is pulling out all the stops, ushering in some of their most popular designs on their more modern silhouettes. Following this trajectory, the Vapormax Flyknit 2 arrives bearing a scheme not too dissimilar to that of OG Flyknit Racer colorways. Bubbles of the sole are painted a glossy black while the upper exhibits some interest color blocking, creating a somewhat faux mudguard out of the colorful notes.
