Adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 Performance Review

Excepting the star effect, this pair of Adidas D.O.N. ISSUE#1 is low type which has good flexibility, many defenders would like it. Moreover, the low type shoes are easy to put on and take off, such as PG3, Air Jordan 33 SE, ZK5 etc.

So why I prefer to low type basketball shoes, except for purchasing the flexibility, it’s easier to put on and take off. And it’s not so hot as high type in Summer.

So, is Adidas D.O.N. ISSUE#1 worthy to be recommended?

For the first sight of Adidas D.O.N. ISSUE#1, I think the shoe heel maybe easy to be loose.

It needs to fasten the shoe laces tighter to improve the wrapping performance.

Let’s have a look at the forefoot, the forefoot sole of Adidas D.O.N. ISSUE#1 is a little wide.

After testing, Adidas D.O.N. ISSUE#1 can’t fit the feet very well, as the shoe heel is a little too big, not tight enough.

The supporting performance of Adidas D.O.N. ISSUE#1 is good. The wide outsole design makes it to be stable. Adidas started to making the wide outsole from N3XT L3V3L, Pro Vision, Marquee Boost, ProBounce Madness etc., now the Adidas D.O.N. ISSUE#1.

The wide outsole can support the foot very well, and the upturning insole design reinforce the lateral support. It totally can satisfy the 3 elements of good anti-torsion performance. So the overall vamp supporting performance and insole support is quite stable.

But the lining is easy to be worn. It’s the disadvantage of Adidas D.O.N. ISSUE#1.

For the cushion performance, the full-length Bounce is similar to AlphaBounce is very soft and comfortable in the beginning. After playing basketball games for a few times, it returns to the feeling of normal Bounce. The cushion performance is enough for me whose weight is 75kg and height is 173cm. But if your weight is more than 85kg, you need to have a try before purchasing.

Finally, I want to talk about the outsole. The abrasive resistance and traction performance of Adidas D.O.N. ISSUE#1 is excellent. It can grip the ground very well.

And you can have a look at the outsole. I have worn it for several days to play basketball, the sole hasn’t be worn off.

Overall, the fit, cushion, support, traction performance and abrasive resistance of Adidas D.O.N. ISSUE#1 is good. It doesn’t have big disadvantages, maybe that’s why it’s keeping on hot-sale.

The unit weight of EUR42.5 Adidas D.O.N. ISSUE#1 is about 440g. It’s a little heavy. If you mind the weight of the shoes and like light shoes, it’s better to have a try on the physical store, then purchasing it.
